Fees & Affordability
We believe cost should never be a barrier to quality childcare.
As a charity, our goal is not to make a profit but to provide accessible, high-quality childcare to families who need it. We offer subsidised places to ensure that cost is not a barrier for families facing financial challenges.
Our Approach to Fees
Subsidised Places
We offer subsidised childcare places to families who demonstrate financial need. The level of subsidy is determined through a confidential assessment process.
Individual Assessment
We understand every family's situation is different. We work with each family to understand their circumstances and agree an appropriate fee level.
Transparent Process
Our fee-setting process is fair and transparent. We'll explain clearly how fees are calculated and what support may be available.
Who May Qualify for Subsidised Places
We particularly welcome enquiries from families in the following situations:
- Low-income families who struggle to afford mainstream childcare fees
- Families with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) who cannot access government childcare support
- Families facing financial hardship due to unemployment, disability, or other challenging circumstances
- Parents seeking to enter work or training who need childcare to take up opportunities
We assess each application individually and confidentially. Even if you're unsure whether you qualify, please get in touch — we're here to help.

A Note on Government Funding
Some families may be eligible for government-funded childcare hours (such as the 15 or 30 hours entitlements). We can help eligible families access these entitlements where possible.
However, we understand that families with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) cannot access these schemes. This is one of the reasons Safe Harbour Kids Care exists — to fill this gap and ensure all families can access quality childcare.
Discuss Your Needs
We're happy to talk through our fees and how we might be able to support your family. All conversations are confidential.
